Safety

We are committed to:
bullet Abide the latest OH&S and environmental acts, legislation, code of practice and regulations.
bullet Provide a safe and healthy working environment. Having our employees, subcontractors, and general public’s health and safety issues at heart and committed to keep any related identified hazards to minimum.
bullet Train, educate, instruct and supervise our employees on all relevant OH&S and environmental issues.
bullet Regularly review operational performance and accident investigation reports.

We measure our Total Incident Rate (TIR). This rate compares the number of OSHA recordable work-related injuries and illnesses to the total hours worked by all employees; it can be roughly translated as the number of incidents per 100 employees per year. To get a handle on the gravity of incidents happened we calculate the Severity Rate (SR). This can be translated as the number of days away from normal work activity per 100 workers during one year.

As our people are our most valuable asset, we have extensive safety program in place to ensure a safe environment when our workers are performing their work at construction site. We believe it’s our responsibility to see that everything possible is done to provide a safe working environment for the workforce and the public in general. We ensure that all works carried out by our sub-contractors and we are done in a manner not posing any environmental, health and safety risk.

Safety is a determining factor in almost every facet of Builtech’s work, including productivity, reputation, employee relations, and financial results. We have in place training and development activities for staff that perform tasks that may impact on safety in the workplace. Through training, we ensure the competence of personnel in carrying out their designated functions. We also ensure the effective application of control and counter measures, wherever these are required to control operational risks. Risk assessment will be conducted before the commencement of a new project. We will identify and take risk control measures to eliminate harmful and extremely harmful, moderate, substantial and intolerable risks. Each accident or incident happened will be reported and followed up. We track and review our lost time injury frequency rate on a constant basis to work for continual improvement in our safety aspect.
